International Youth Fellowship Celebrates 30 Years of Empowering Youth and Shaping the Nation's Future

Nairobi , Kenya- October 5, 2024

The International Youth Fellowship (IYF), founded and led by Rev. Dr. Ock Soo Park, is celebrating its 30th anniversary, marking three decades of unwavering dedication to empowering young people and shaping the future of nations worldwide. With the theme "Empowering Youth, Building Tomorrow," the celebration brings together leaders, educators, and youth from all corners of the country to reflect on the impact of IYF's programs and its role in cultivating a new generation of leaders.

Since its inception in 1994, IYF has been at the forefront of youth development, focusing on nurturing a mindset that equips young people with the skills, character, and resilience needed to become global changemakers. With initiatives that span across character education, volunteerism, leadership training, and cultural exchange programs, IYF has directly impacted millions of young lives, providing them with opportunities to contribute positively to their societies.

Rev. Dr. Ock Soo Park, the visionary behind IYF, has been instrumental in guiding the organization toward addressing the challenges faced by youth in a rapidly evolving world. His focus on mental strength and moral values has set the foundation for IYF’s success. In his keynote speech at the anniversary celebration, Rev. Dr. Park said, "Our mission has always been to unlock the potential within every young person. By shaping their mindset and giving them the tools to overcome life's obstacles, we empower them to become the leaders who will create a better future for all."

Over the past 30 years, IYF has expanded to several countries, fostering a global network of young leaders. Through partnerships with governments, and educational institutions, the organization has implemented numerous programs aimed at reducing unemployment, promoting social cohesion, and driving sustainable development.

One of IYF’s signature programs, the Mind Education program, has been particularly influential in shaping the way youth think, approach challenges, and pursue their dreams. The program has been adopted by various educational systems worldwide, serving as a model for character-building curriculums.

As part of the 30th-anniversary celebrations, IYF announced new initiatives aimed at tackling the pressing issues of climate change, mental health, and digital innovation, with a focus on preparing the next generation of leaders to navigate these global challenges.

As IYF looks to the future, its commitment to empowering youth remains steadfast. Rev. Dr. Park concluded his remarks by emphasizing, "The youth are the heartbeat of tomorrow. By investing in their growth, we invest in a brighter, more prosperous future for all."

The 30th anniversary of IYF is not just a celebration of past achievements but a reaffirmation of its mission to continue inspiring and empowering youth worldwide for decades to come.
