The Voice for Palestine Launches Gaza Medical Campaign at Jamia Mosque, Nairobi

Nairobi, Kenya - October 10, 2024:

A consortium of Kenyan organizations, collectively known as "The Voice for Palestine," has launched a major medical relief campaign at Jamia Mosque in Nairobi. The initiative, spearheaded by the Jamia Mosque Committee, the Supreme Council of Kenya Muslims (SUPKEM), the National Muslim Leaders Forum (NAMLEF), the Council of Imams and Preachers of Kenya (CIPK), the Kenya Association of Muslim Medical Professionals (KAMMP), and several mosques across Nairobi, aims to raise at least $500,000 in aid for the people of Gaza.

In light of the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza, the campaign seeks to provide much-needed medical supplies and equipment to assist those affected by the conflict. The consortium is rallying support from both local and international donors to meet the growing healthcare needs of the Gaza population, particularly in hospitals and clinics struggling to cope with limited resources.

Speaking at the launch, representatives from the various organizations emphasized the urgent need for solidarity with the people of Gaza. "Our brothers and sisters in Gaza are facing unimaginable challenges. It is our responsibility as a community to step up and offer support, especially in critical areas like healthcare," said one of the leaders at the event.

The Voice for Palestine has called upon all Kenyans, regardless of faith, to contribute to this vital cause. Donations can be made through various channels, including at Jamia Mosque and affiliated mosques around Nairobi.

The campaign has already garnered significant attention, with leaders from different faith communities expressing their support. The consortium aims to mobilize a united effort to ensure that the necessary funds are raised to provide lifesaving medical assistance to the people of Gaza.

The Gaza Medical Campaign will continue over the coming weeks, with regular updates on the funds raised and the medical supplies that will be delivered to Gaza through partner organizations.
