Deputy President Prof. Kithure Kindiki has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring that every Kenyan has access to affordable and quality healthcare through the universal healthcare initiative, Taifacare. Speaking during a public address, Prof. Kindiki urged all citizens to register for the program to become beneficiaries of a comprehensive health package covering critical treatments such as heart-related care, kidney transplants, and other high-cost medical procedures.

Prof. Kindiki highlighted that the initiative aims to reduce the financial burden associated with life-threatening conditions by guaranteeing access to top-tier medical services. He emphasized the government’s dedication to prioritizing healthcare reforms, stating that Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) is currently undergoing significant upgrades to ensure seamless delivery of services. These upgrades include addressing challenges such as outdated technology to improve efficiency and service quality.

The Deputy President called on all Kenyans to take advantage of the program, stressing that universal healthcare is a fundamental right and a cornerstone of the government's development agenda. "We are determined to build a healthier nation where no one is left behind," Prof. Kindiki said, urging unity in embracing the transformative healthcare system.
