Kenyan Media Briefing: Iran's Ambassador Delivers Fierce Condemnation Following Airstrike, Vows "Decisive" Retaliation:

Dr. Ali Gholampour is the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Kenya

NAIROBI, KENYA,  By George Mutua.

In an emergency press conference held at the Iranian Embassy in Nairobi earlier today, His Excellency Dr. Ali Gholampour, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Kenya, delivered a fiery and detailed statement regarding the death of the Iranian leader in a recent airstrike. The ambassador, reading an official communiqué from Tehran, painted a picture of profound betrayal and issued a stern warning to the United States and Israel, whom he identified as the perpetrators. Dr. Gholampour began his address by characterizing the attack not just as an act of war, but as a cynical and treacherous betrayal of ongoing diplomatic efforts.

He stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran had been actively and genuinely engaged in a good-faith diplomatic process with the United States at the time of the strike. "We entered negotiations in good faith, not because we trusted them, but to prove the righteousness of the Iranian nation and to leave no pretext for aggression," the Ambassador read, his voice resonating with indignation. "And how were we answered? With bombs. With missiles. And with the blood of our Leader." He described the act as revealing "the true nature of the United States and its unfaithful child, the Zionist regime," accusing them of speaking of diplomacy while simultaneously planning murder. "They extend a hand for negotiation while sharpening the knife with the other," Dr. Gholampour declared. A Legal and Righteous Response Shifting from condemnation to formal declaration, the ambassador invoked international law, specifically citing Article 51 of the Charter of the United Nations. He asserted the Islamic Republic of Iran's inherent and legitimate right to self-defense. "Let there be no misunderstanding of our response," he stated firmly. "The Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran will employ all necessary capabilities and resources to confront these criminal acts of aggression and to repel the hostile actions of the enemy." Dr. Gholampour issued a direct warning to Washington and Tel Aviv: "You shall bear full and direct responsibility for all ensuing consequences. You have opened a door that you cannot close." A Call to the World and a Message to His People The ambassador broadened his appeal, addressing the nations of the region, the Islamic world, the Non-Aligned Movement, and all governments committed to international peace.

He framed the conflict as a pivotal moment for global order. "This is your fight as much as ours," he urged. "If the aggression against Iran is not met with a firm response from the international community, it will mark the beginning of the end of all international institutions and the rule of law. Today it is Iran. Tomorrow, it could be any of you." In a direct challenge to the United Nations Security Council, he demanded immediate action: "Convene immediately. Take binding action. Halt this aggression. Uphold your own Charter before it becomes a worthless document." In the most emotional part of his address, Dr. Gholampour turned his attention to the people of Iran. "To my people, the noble, resilient, and proud people of Iran, I say: our Leader has fallen, but our leadership lives on. Our path is clear. Our cause is just. And our response will be firm, decisive, and one that will make the aggressors regret the day they dared to strike the land of Cyrus and the heirs of Imam Hussein."

He concluded the formal statement by emphasizing that Iran did not seek this war, describing it as a "patriotic war" that has been imposed upon the nation. He reiterated the unwavering resolve of the Iranian Armed Forces, who, "inspired by the heroic legacy of this ancient land and relying on trust in Almighty God, will defend the dignity and security of the Iranian nation with determination and all their might." "History bears witness: Iranians have never submitted to foreign aggression. And we will not start today,"

Green Gold Rush: UK-Funded Forum Links African Innovators with Investors to Build a Cleaner Future.

Nairobi, Kenya, By George Mutua. The air in Nairobi was thick with more than just the usual buzz of a city on the move today. Inside a conference hall, it crackled with the electricity of ambition and the smell of a greener future. More than 150 of Africa’s brightest green manufacturing entrepreneurs, investors, and industry leaders gathered for the Pan-African Green Business Building (GBB) Forum , a high-stakes meeting designed to turn climate-positive ideas into booming, job-creating businesses. Funded by the UK government through its flagship Manufacturing Africa programme, the one-day event was a vibrant marketplace of innovation. Its mission was simple but audacious: to connect the capital with the continent's most promising green startups, unlocking what research suggests could be a $2-4 billion a year market by 2030, and creating over 200,000 jobs in the process. Nairobi was the natural home for this gathering. Fresh off its crown as the continent's top destination f...

KPC Foundation and eKitabu Forge a New Blueprint to Rescue Kenya’s Isolated Creatives.

Rachel Gathoni, the Kenya Pipeline Company Managing Trustee and Foundation Manager Ngecha, Kiambu, Kenya, by George Mutua .  In the shadow of a bustling Nairobi that often races past its art, a quiet but determined revolution is taking root. At the Mlango Farm artistic community in Ngecha, a serene landscape of sustainable agriculture and deep creative history, the Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) Foundation has launched the  Sanaa  initiative. This is not merely another corporate social responsibility event. Instead, it is a deliberate, structured attempt to diagnose and treat the chronic isolation and market fragmentation that have long plagued Kenya's writers, visual artists, and musicians. For one day, over fifty creatives, ranging from Gen Z digital poets to veteran painters who have been wielding brushes for forty years, sat elbow-to-elbow with corporate leaders. Their mission was brutally simple yet historically elusive:  to stop creating alone and start ...
